Mindful Youth is actively working with several organizations to help them incorporate mindfulness as a tool to accomplish their goals.
For 2014, Mindful Youth has set a goal of showing 750 local youth how to better their lives using mindfulness.
At 370 young people engaged, we're almost halfway to our goal!

In 2013, Mindful Youth provided an introductory mindfulness experience to 559 kids.
The Youth Center provides education through Cincinnati Public Schools, counseling by our own Hamilton County Juvenile Court Psychology Department and Intervention Unit, and medical services through Children’s Hospital.
Mindful Youth provides weekly programming to the youth who are currently incarcerated in the Youth Center. Interacting with an average of eight young people per week, Mindful Youth offers experiential mindfulness training with accompanying messages surrounding responsible decision making, empathy, and reduction of impulsivity.
Youth have shown an increased ability to manage emotions, an increase in self-awareness, and an improved capacity for perspective taking.
Mindful Youth continues to provide weekly programming at the Youth Center and once funding is secured, would like to expand programming at this location.
St. Joseph Orphanage is a proven leader in children’s mental health recovery, providing residential, educational and community treatment programs for children who have been abused or neglected, are severely emotionally disturbed or developmentally disabled.
Mindful Youth provided eight weeks of mindfulness training for youth in the residential treatment program. There were also four Mindfulness Workshops conducted for St. Joe’s employees.

Mindful Youth would like to return to St. Joseph Orphanage and continue to assist them in bettering the lives of youth.
YBNKY helps young people earn their G.E.D., learn and master career skills, and give back to the community. Using a multi-disciplined approach of leadership, education, community service, career training and counseling, YBNKY has seen young people enroll in college, find jobs, and change their lives.
Mindful Youth delivered their full mindfulness curriculum at YouthBuild NKY. Our message was specifically tailored to meet the educational, employment, and developmental needs of the participants.
Youth participants reported an improved ability to manage their thoughts and feelings, while also reporting an increase in their overall quality of life, despite some unique challenges that life presented to them during that time.
YouthBuild NKY has expressed a desire for Mindful Youth to return to assist later participants in achieving success in their lives.
Happen’s classes and projects build art awareness, sharpen basic art skills, and ignite the creative energy between you and a special child! Their vision is to create a positive environment where creative experiences are shared every day and that those experiences are life-changing.
Mindful Youth developed unique arts and crafts activities, as well as meditations, that provide an experiential introduction into mindfulness practice for children ages 4-12.
The youth participants showed many smiles and spoke many compliments about their time with Mindful Youth. Their parents reported discussions about mindfulness, as well as mindfulness practice, once they returned home!
